FINALLY FINISHED!

Ok I have no idea why i chose to shade like this. I guess I just haven't found my shading style with my Tablet yet. Oh well I kinda like it.

Just getting a quick entry out of the way for my lovely Capuchino Sport Horse Mare. The group went very inactive/dead until a journal popped up in my inbox and I just have to take part. Even if others don't I needed an excuse to draw my lovely Skadi and her dragon friend Fzar together.

So yeah enjoy. I will update this as I go.

Story:
Springtime, the perfect time to release the horses into the fields and watch them roam and jump and dance about as the snow has finally receded back into the cold hole it came from.
Our first release into the huge paddocks was our Capuchino Sport Horse Skadi. A horse that we don't tend to see a whole lot around here due to her nature, she couldn't wait to get out and run around. Our happiness at seeing her look happy was short lived. Her companion, a fighter dragon Fzar was no where to be found. We scoured the farm from top to bottom. Our search fruitless.
This was not good enough for Skadi. Knowing where he would be she took it upon herself to jump the fence and race towards the entrance of the farm, breaching our walls and escaping into the wilderness were all manner of beasts, feral and no, live and roam.
Frightened for our mare, I called our fastest mount forth. Jumping on her back, tackless, we ran after Skadi. Soon enough we saw her tail trailing and weaving through the trees all around us. I knew we would catch her no problem, but I pulled back and watched as she led us to Fzar.
On this chase I witnessed something about this girl that I never knew. I was told when I bought her she has a frost mutation, ice seeming to cling to her coat, but I did not realize that she could project the ice outwards to cover her surroundings. As we chased, the spring foliage was rapidly being covered with a thick film of ice, bringing Winter back onto the island once more. The ice lasted no more than a couple of minutes each time, but the sight was magical.
Soon a river emerged, a huge tree trunk, hollow, was laid to rest on the riverbank. Stopping well short of Skadi, we witnessed her close her eyes, and a encasement of ice surround her like a barrier, shimmer like crystals. The log was enveloped too. It seemed to be a sign for Fzar. Not long after he walked out of the log, and through the ice sheet with ease, his runes glowing and pulsing as a sign of greeting and love.
Touching his nose with hers, they locked eyes, sharing a thought so secret none of us will ever understand. After the bonding ritual was over, the barrier was dropped and again we witnessed something I had not thought possible. Skadi literally ran over the water with Fzar at her side, freezing the ice beneath their feet as they went, the rest of the lake and the surrounding area lightly coated in snow.
Kicking my mount into action we followed running along the edge of the river, hoping it wasn't too large that we would lose sight of the pair. An hour or so after, we realized that they had doubled back upon themselves heading towards the farm once more. Seeing them stampede through the gates was a relief and shortly after I entered the farm myself.
Dismounting I whispered something to my mount, sending her on her way before walking over to them. Everyone else was watching in awe and keeping their distance. Seconds later Skadi erected the Ice Shield and eyed me warily, unsure if I was friend or foe. Weird seeing as I am her owner and she is not a feral horse. Placing my hand against the wall I closed my eyes. Being the magical immortal being that I am, I pressed all my will into my hand, my strength pressing into the ice more and more. A few minutes later I opened my eyes, and thankfully my plan had worked. I had penetrated her safety net.
Relief flooded her face and a calmness still her, Fzar seemed somewhat calmer too. Soon the duo came over to sniff and inspect me. Clicking and droning sounds reverberated around the ice chamber, echoing and making the ice chime. I realized this was Fzar talking to Skadi. Nods and throwing of her head was her response. Worried I backed away till I was flush against the chamber, trapping me inside. Real fear settled in my stomach. I know the pair are some of the most dangerous on the farm, and yet I persisted on entering their territory without an invitation.
Serene and the others witnessed this and became scared, grabbing tools or anything sharp and charged forward hoping to help me get out of this cell. This just only made Skadi angry. Projecting her ability further she stopped them in their tracks, trapping their feet beneath a thick sheet of unbreakable ice. This turned into a face off. Me against them. I knew they had a good chance of seriously injuring me.
Sliding down the ice, my legs tucked close to my chest, I just sat and waited for them to start attacking me. However this did not happen. It was in fact the opposite. During the time my eyes were tightly closed, Fzar had left the circle searching the island for something I can only describe as a gift or peace offering. A nudge, I was being nudged. Cracking open my eyes I saw my mare stood stock still, her head tilted to the side, a curious and rather comical look adorning her face. Opening my eyes fully, I looked around, the staff were free from their former bonds, but stayed in their places staring into the ice.
Peeking around Skadi, Fzar held something in his jaws. A stone of some kind, something I could not identify this far away.
"Click click" sounded Fzar, before walking up to me, and dropping whatever he held, before caressing my cheek with his muzzle. The stone was a rare stone made for the purest of Ice known to man. A stone without a name.
I knew that from this moment on that the duo were only to trust me, a friendship for life that could never be broken....
